Lionel Messi left Barcelona three and a half years ago, but the Argentine sensation is still very much in the hearts of Barcelona supporters. Spanish media outlet AS reported that Barcelona’s demand for Messi’s famous shirt is still quite high. It’s interesting to note that Messi’s jersey continues to sell better than most current Barcelona players.
Messi departed Barcelona in 2021 to play for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He currently plays for Inter Miami in the United States after spending two seasons in France. Even after he left, Barcelona fans still consider him a member of the team.

Despite Barcelona’s official ban on selling Messi’s shirt, fans buy blank ones and customise them with his name and number. It’s not only Messi, though, as fans are also asking for jerseys with the names of other legends like Neymar, Iniesta, and Xavi.
At Barcelona right now, Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal have the best-selling shirts. Yamal is viewed by many as Messi’s future successor.

Spanish midfielder Pedri and Brazilian forward Raphinha are vying for third place, with Raphinha leading by a small margin. La Masia’s Gavi, another gifted midfield player, completes the top five.
The supporters still adore and respect Messi despite his departure from Barcelona. His name, his famous number 10 jersey, and the experiences he made are still cherished as treasured items by the Catalan club’s faithful.
