Dhaka, May 7, 2025 — Fashion personality and national director Azra Mahmood has acquired the official license for Miss World Bangladesh 2025, another feather in the cap of her successful career of promoting Bangladeshi beauty and talent on the global stage. With this achievement, she further adds another top-level pageant to her portfolio that already includes Miss International Bangladesh, Miss Celebrity International Bangladesh, and Face of Asia Bangladesh.
The 72nd Miss World pageant is scheduled to take place in Telangana, India, this May. However, due to tight timing, Bangladesh’s representative for this year’s pageant has been announced as Aklima Atika Konika, the 1st Runner-Up of Miss World Bangladesh 2024.
Aklima is no stranger to international platforms—she has already represented Bangladesh in Face of Asia 2024 in South Korea and won praise for her confidence and grace. Her selection is a reflection of her experience and the faith the Miss World Bangladesh team has in her.
